La Escala de Evaluación de Espiritualidad y Sentimientos Religiosos

Resumen

En las últimas décadas, los estudios referidos a prácticas religioso-espirituales en el campo de la psicologia se han incrementado, mostrando una profunda asociación entre las prácticas sociales y el comportamiento de los sujetos. Uno de los instrumentos para evaluar dichas prácticas ha sido la escala de Evaluación de la Espiritualidad y Sentimientos Religiosos, o ASPIRES, por sus siglas en inglés. La presente investigación se propuso realizar un análisis bibliométrico de la escala, incluyendo a tal fin articulos que hayan utilizado ASPIRES como medida psicométrica para la evaluación de la espiritualidad y religiosidad. Se llevó a cabo un estudio de tipo descriptivo mediante análisis de documentos. Los resultados muestran un aumento significativo en los últimos años de la utilización de la escala en la investigación, en diferentes áreas temáticas de la psicologia, con un aumento drástico en la participación de universidades argentinas en los últimos siete años. Se discuten los resultados respecto del creciente uso de la escala a nivel mundial en general, las caracteristicas y el alcance de la producción cientifica latinoamericana en particular, como asi también las limitaciones del presente trabajo y sugerencias hacia el futuro.
